The Morning After: Microsoft launches Windows 365, its Windows PC in the cloud

Windows 365, announced today at the Microsoft Inspire conference, is a version of the OS that lives in the cloud. This is an easy-to-use virtual machine that lets you enter your own installation of Windows 10 (and eventually Windows 11) on any device, be it a Mac, iPad, Linux or Android tablet.

Windows 365

This is not a completely new premise for Microsoft, with Azure’s efforts offering virtual machines for businesses for a while. However, this will make the whole process of managing the installation of Windows on a server much much easier. All you have to do is head to when it launches on August 2 (unpublished), select the virtual machine configuration and you’ll start operating. Of course, once we know the price. The final price will be revealed the day before the service launches.

The latest macOS and iOS betas address common complaints about the new Safari.

The third developer beta for iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey began launching today, and the most important among the changes is a bunch of updates on Apple’s browser. So, here’s a $ 1,300 standalone headset just meant for business. Since it’s priced $ 1,000 higher than the Oculus Quest 2, the Focus 3 doesn’t surprisingly offer almost everything. Apart from software. Focus 3 has a much more limited software library than the Oculus Quest. While Oculus has insisted on high -profile exclusives and popular games, such as Eternal Father and At Saber, the HTC VivePort store feels a bit empty and uninspiring. It doesn’t seem to be made for you. Keep reading.

At least, the price doesn’t disappoint.

LG launchable OLED TV

It’s been a long time coming, but in the end, LG has delivered a great OLED price for the U.S., and hit six figures: $ 100,000 according to the U.S. company’s website. In case you forgot – announced years ago – the set uses cutting -edge OLED technology to roll it into a self -contained box. But hey, at least it makes LG’s highly capable static OLEDs look affordable in comparison. The 2021 company line starts at $ 1,299 which is much more approachable. Keep reading.

The company says it’s due to policy changes it made over the past year.

Twitter says that is getting better at simplifying its platform. That’s one of the key results from the company’s latest transparency report, which it shared on Wednesday. Between July 1 and December 31, 2020, Twitter said that it took action against 964,459 accounts for abusive behavior. Compared to the first six months of 2020, that’s a 142 percent increase.

The increase in the company’s actions was due to policy changes implemented last year. Specifically, he said it is beginning to take action against “content that evokes fear and / or stereotypes of fear about protected categories.” Keep reading.
