‘Genshin Impact’ Launches New Ayaka Character Trailer

Genshin Impact 2.0 is almost here, and the arrival of the first new character when Inazuma will be none other than the princess from the Japanese -inspired region, Kamisato Ayaka.

Genshin has just released a new trailer for Ayaka, which you can see below, which doesn’t focus on combat, but on the story, showcasing her character and voice rather than her sword game. While I’m sure we’ll get a separate trailer for that as soon as possible:

The trailer seems to hint at what might be part of her storyline for Inazuma, where she has to wear a mask to attend a local festival to avoid herself being known, given that she is so famous in the region.

Ayaka will be the first 5-star banner when Inazuma launches July 21, and she has been a massively awaited new character not only since her debut, but Genshin players have been waiting for her practically since the game launched, as she has long been spotted time in the game version before. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him become one of the most popular and lucrative new characters in Genshin Impact history when he was released.

As for the actual kit, as I said, we’ll probably get a combat trailer as soon as possible, but in the meantime, here’s what we know about cryo sword user attacks when you use them in combat:

Kamisato Art: Hyouka (Elemental Skills) – Beautiful Kamisato Art style. Kamisato Ayaka radiates ice around her and soon, launches a nearby opponent and makes an offer to Cryo

Shirt Art: Soumetsu (Elemental Burst) – Ayaka collects ice with his fan and sword, creating a storm that continues to move forward. Bladestorm gives Cryo DMG over time to all enemies in its path. Once the damage over time is over, the storm created will explode, giving Cryo DMG to all enemies within a greater radius.

Shirt Art: Master (Sprint Run) – Alternate Sprint: Ayaka uses Stamina to hide in a fast moving stream as he moves. In Senho’s form, he moves at high speed on the water. When he reappears, the following effect is produced: Giving Cold to a nearby opponent, Cold Fluid along Ayaka’s knife, transforms his DMG Attack into Cryo DMG for a short period of time.

Just running can inflict a cold on the enemy? I like it. He sounds great, and I’ll probably break my fast and really look for him, as I haven’t done any real attraction in Genshin since Hu Tao, and kept some primers for the occasion. We’ll see Ayaka soon, and maybe even another trailer soon.
