Demon Souls PS5 speedrun uses PS Plus tricks to break the game

If you’ve ever watched a speed game from a game developed from FromSoftware, like Blood or Dark souls, you know how expert -level game displays tend to run: Speedrunners literally run most of the game, avoiding battles when they can, and leveraging stitches in the environment to access areas that should be out of bounds. There are also a lot of intentional storage loads and reloads to reset the game world.

But last year’s speed The Soul of the Devil remake for the PlayStation 5 capitalizes on several unexpected exploits, including one exclusive to PlayStation Plus customers and another that leverages remake graphics settings to break the game.

Speedrunner BertoPlease use the technique in the speed run The Soul of the Devil at the Summer Games Done Quick this weekend, showcasing incredible stamina management skills and underlining just how great the magic is in the game. At 53 minutes and 57 seconds, it is longer than the 44-minute time record, 4 seconds using the PS Plus curve and the 47-minute, 27-second time without using the PS Plus curve. But it’s definitely a more exciting speed than FromSoft games due to smart usage and an exclusive PS5 subscription.
